Mount Washington, the northeast’s tallest peak (6,288’), offers mountaineers some of the best training ground available to aspiring mountaineers. The views: gorgeous, the weather: harsh, and the challenge: formidable.  Agiocochook (the mountain’s original native American name) is most often attempted in the winter via the Lion’s Head trail on its eastern flanks.  The wind above treeline can be staggering, which presents one of the logistical challenges during an ascent.  AMA climbers, equipped with all the necessary tools (Ice axe, mountain boots and crampons), will be challenged while participating in an experience they wont soon forget.

“Because in the end, you wont remember the time you spent working in the office or mowing your lawn.  Climb that goddamn mountain.” ~Jack Kerouac
